Red Olive combined with Motos in Moab to shoot one epic video. This video chronicles the experience of a motorcycle festival and campout, Motos in Moab, from the perspective of an attendee.
Motos in Moab is an epic event in the southeastern desert of Utah. Past events have brought hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts together for a wild and infamous event. Event attendees rode together, swapped stories, enjoyed bonfires, and combined to create one epic weekend.
This motorcycle event used Red Olive, a Utah advertising firm, to help bring attention to the beauty and existing motorcycle culture present in Utah In City Weekly Magazine, Anthony Magdaleno, a participant in the 2016 event, commented on what’s available in Utah.
“We need something like Motos in Moab to make people realize there is a lot going on right where you’re at,” Magdaleno says. “We didn’t even have to ride more than five hours to get here, and it’s the time of our lives. You don’t have to go all the way to California or Texas, there’s people that love what you love right where you’re at.”
This video, shot and edited by Max Daines and Red Olive, has been a huge success. The tone and style of the video has helped bolster the brand of both Red Olive and Motos in Moab. The video has garnered over one million views across Vimeo, Facebook, and Youtube.
Part of the popularity of the video could be attributed to the feeling of community and comradeship you feel when you watch it. Jessica Haggett, the founder of an all-female motorcycle club from Salt Lake City, expressed this feeling in an interview with City Weekly.
“What we stand for is having a good time and meeting new people and supporting each other and being something positive where it’s all-inclusive,” Haggett says. “I think that has helped to build a positive community and not just a community.”
In addition to being widely viewed, this video has been featured in countless publications. Iron and Air, a popular motorcycle magazine shared with their audience numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Additionally, this video was played at the Moto Film Fest in Brooklyn, NY.
