Services/Utah Web Design
Utah Web Design Services
We create more than a clean, professional website. We develop your digital presence to be the highest-performing component of your sales process.
Whether you need web design services for a small business in Salt Lake City or you’re ready to expand your brand nationwide, the first and most important thing you can do is to choose design that delivers results. That’s where we can help.
We’re likely biased, but working with a local, professional web design agency in Salt Lake City has its perks. We understand the Utah market and its digital trends. We’ve seen (and helped develop) what works in our unique economy. But our local know-how isn’t the real reason we’ve been Utah’s leading web design agency for more than 20 years; it’s our approach.
4 Tell-Tale Signs It’s Time for a New Website
Websites aren’t meant to stand the test of time; they should evolve and adapt as you do — and as your customers do, too.
Here are four signs it’s time to revisit your website’s design.
01 It’s more than four years old
The average lifespan of a website? A little over two and a half years. That may feel like a blink of an eye, but we live in an age where consumer expectations evolve every year. Changing your mindset to see your website as an ongoing priority — rather than a one-and-done project— is critical to staying relevant and competitive in today’s rapidly changing market.
02 It’s not converting
If your traffic is steady, but your conversions are coming up short, it’s time to revisit your user experience, web content, and sitemap to see where you can make improvements.
03 It no longer reflects your brand, vision, or products/services
If you’ve pivoted, grown, or matured as a brand, your website must keep up. If there’s a disconnect between the story your website tells and what the customer experiences firsthand, it creates confusion, false expectations, and, ultimately, a negative customer experience.
04 It has broken features
Websites need ongoing care and monitoring. That’s because plugins and hosting platforms routinely update their software which leads to features no longer working — or worse — an outright crash. When PHP (the programming language most sites run on) is updated, functions can be lost or broken.
When Smart Design Meets Marketing Know-How
We don’t see your website as a checkmark on a marketing to-do list (and you shouldn’t, either). We see it as your hardest-working, highest-performing salesperson; if it’s not there yet, we’ll put the work in to get it there.
We do that by combining the strategy of digital marketing, the influence of content, and the packaging of modern design to create a website that doesn’t just look good, but
Explains your purpose & passion
Strategically connects you with more loyal customers
Increases revenue

”Nothing but excellent things to say about the team at Red Olive. I am in the construction industry and know very little about web design, and yet they accommodated me very well. We really enjoy working with this team… Thanks Sarah and Chris!

How We Build Your Next Website
01 Discovery
We put the time in to research your industry and market — along with your existing site — to discover how to maintain your unique value while making sure your site outperforms the competition. Unlike many web design agencies, we pull in the entire team to get diverse perspectives; our digital marketing team — including both PPC and SEO analysts — content writers, and designers collaborate early on to guarantee we can optimize your site’s performance before we begin.
02 Kickoff
Together, we sit down to connect as a team before the work begins. We’ll align our goals, discuss must-have elements and features, and talk about where your brand is headed next.
03 Marketing Analysis
Our digital marketers review your competition and industry, providing a framework that works hand-in-hand with design to guarantee your site is organized to produce the best results.
04 Content Creation
While marketing draws your target audience in, the right messaging keeps them there once they arrive. We craft custom content for your website that sounds authentic to you and motivates your visitors to take that next step.
05 Design
With content and a marketing framework in place, our design team creates a cohesive site around it. We pull in visual elements that reflect your brand while also using current design trends to help your site feel fresh.
06 Development
Custom features, integrations, and other unique applications or elements are the responsibility of our in-house developers. They’ll problem-solve the more technical aspects of your site while making sure it’s secure, fast, and always accessible.
07 Quality Assurance
One last review gives your site a final polish and double-checks that every form, button, link, sentence, and application is as it should be.
08 Launch
When we go live, we release your new digital home to the world — and then hand you the reigns after a one-on-one training session.
FAQs about Custom Website Design
How much does a new website cost?
We don’t offer one-size-fits-all packages, which means we don’t showcase sticker prices. While we can’t give you an accurate estimate until we have the full scope, we can tell you that our project minimum is $20k. (However, this doesn’t include copywriting or detailed SEO analysis and strategy — two upgrades we find can add the most bang for your buck).
If that number seems high, our clients would be the first to tell you that the investment is well worth it. We’ve worked with several brands that shelled out money for a cheaper option first, only to return to us to have it done right. Our approach is to build a website that delivers results like your highest-performing salesperson. When you think about it that way, $20k seems like a steal compared to hiring another employee.
How long does it take to build a website?
Typically, professional web design can take anywhere from 3-6 months. This estimate relies on several factors, but one of the most important is your engagement: the more involved you can be, the faster we can design your site (and the better the results will be).
Who will I be working with during the project?
Your team will include website designers, SEO consultants, developers, copywriters, and a dedicated project manager. Our project managers are the glue that holds a project together. They’ll schedule meetings (both with you and with our team internally), keep timelines updated and on track, take care of quality assurance, and keep you in the loop about the status of your site. You’ll meet all of these key team members at your kickoff meeting before the project begins.
